#Fishing - Ice production is expected to resume at three fishery harbour centres this afternoon after health and safety concerns prompted a shutdown last week.
According to the Irish Examiner, Bord Iascaigh Mhara's (BIM) suspension of ice production at Howth, Kilmore Quay and Dunmore East last Friday 31 July was over issues related to best practice, and there was no risk to public safety involved.
"Ultimately we have to put the health and safety of our staff operating the plants at the forefront," said BIM chief executive Michael Keatinge on RTÉs Morning Ireland yesterday.
