#Rio2016 - Finn Lynch isn't the only Olympic hopeful who's been moved to put cap in hand to raise the funds needed to compete among world sailing's top flight.
Indeed, 49er pair Ryan Seaton and Matt McGovern have launched their own fundraising campaign, along with fellow Belfast sailor James Espey, with a raffle to win a brand new Laser in association with McCready Sailboats and LaserPerformance.
All three have already secured their spots at Rio 2016, but must still burden the costs of training at home and abroad, not to mention taking part in international competitions leading up to the big event.
And the situation again raises the question of whether there might be a better solution to cash-strapped sailors' funding dilemma.
