Bray Sailing Club's cruiser fleet held their annual start of season lift on Saturday (April 26th), with twenty-five cruisers launched in just under four hours from two locations in the County Wicklow harbour. Conditions were ideal for the event, with light winds, calm water, and minimal rainfall.
Speaking after the conclusion of the lift in, Bray SC Cruiser Class Captain Harry Esmonde said, "Today's lift in was a good example of how an experienced team working together can get through a difficult job very quickly. Being based in a tidal harbour means that we are always under pressure to complete the lifting before we run out of water, but a keen focus on safety ensures that we don't take any risks. I'd like to thank all the boat owners and crew, safety boat drivers, crane and tractor operators, and other club members who volunteered for a 6am start to make sure that we had a successful lift."
