The Taoiseach has said he wants Ireland to be “leading nation” in global maritime policy, as RTÉ News reports.
Micheál Martin is in Nice, France for the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) this week, marking 10 years since the historic Paris Agreement.
On Monday (9 June), he will attend an event to launch the European Ocean Pact, which links various ocean policies aimed at protecting and restoring marine habitats under a single framework.
