Yamaha Motor Europe has launched two new V MAX SHO outboards—the 250hp and 200hp models. These engines, designed for high-speed performance, are making their debut in Europe for the 2026 boating season.
Both models feature a solid 4.2-litre V6 platform that offers impressive acceleration and responsive handling. They are engineered to enhance the thrill of various water sports, including competitive fishing.
The new outboards are notably lightweight, thanks to innovative design elements like plasma-fused sleeveless cylinders. This construction achieves a superior power-to-weight ratio, enabling faster launches and sharper cornering.
Key features include a Power Trim & Tilt system with TotalTilt™, allowing users to adjust the engine angle easily. A high-output 70-amp alternator ensures onboard systems run efficiently without straining the engine at low RPMs.
Aesthetically, these engines boast bold styling and aggressive graphics, ensuring they turn heads on the water. The Electronic Fuel Injection system provides smooth throttle response and efficient power delivery.
"With the launch of the V MAX SHO 250hp and 200hp in Europe, Yamaha extends its legacy of quality outboard engines," said Fabrice Lacoume, Marine Director at Yamaha Motor Europe.
These new models are available to order in Europe starting from Q4 2025, reinforcing Yamaha's commitment to high-performance boating.
