What's on this coming Week

27th July 2009

Isn’t it wonderful when you can’t turn around for Festivals, Courses, Fairs and Regattas? We at Afloat love the summer so let’s make the best of it: a big event is Calves Week at Schull in Cork, but there’s other goings-on too, like Ahakista Regatta in Bantry, Kinsale's annual event, the RNIYC’s BYC Regatta, and Lough Swilly’s Fahan Regatta. For a bit of cut and thrust there's Courtown and their Powerboat Surf Race. Wicklow's busy too with the WSC running their Club Regatta and Greystones hosting their Rowing Regatta – to name just one – or you can indulge in any one of dozens of August Bank Holiday festivals being held across the country, go swimming, angling or canoeing. It’s all good!
