2nd January 2025
RYA Racing Rules of Sailing 2025-2028
World Sailing has released a number of key changes to the originally published Racing Rules of Sailing 2025–2028, in force since 1 January

World Sailing has released a number of key changes to the originally published version of the Racing Rules of Sailing 2025–2028, which have now officially come into force from 1 January 2025.

A full Changes and Corrections document outlining the Rules updates has now been published by World Sailing and is available from the World Sailing website (see link under the ‘The Racing Rules of Sailing 2025–2028’ dropdown menu).

The RYA advises that anyone referring to the rules ensures they have familiarised themselves with these updates.

For those who may have already purchased a copy of the RYA Racing Rules of Sailing 2025-2028 (audio book or print), please note that the RYA will follow up in due course on how to ensure your copy is up to date with the new changes. In the meantime, the RYA advises downloading the Changes and Corrections document.

For anyone who has purchased the ebook of the RYA Racing Rules of Sailing 2025-2028, an update is available for download via the RYA Books app.

We've got a favour to ask

More people are reading Afloat.ie than ever thanks to the power of the internet but we're in stormy seas because advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news sites, we haven't put up a paywall because we want to keep our marine journalism open.

Afloat.ie is Ireland's only full-time marine journalism team and it takes time, money and hard work to produce our content.

So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

If everyone chipped in, we can enhance our coverage and our future would be more secure. You can help us through a small donation. Thank you.
