Dun Laoghaire Motor Yacht Club has published the Notice of Race and entry forms for the 2026 DMYC Regatta. The event takes place on Saturday, 6 and Sunday, 7 June and marks the first in a series of regattas hosted this summer by the four Dun Laoghaire waterfront clubs.
With no Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta scheduled in 2026, each club will instead run its own standalone event during June and July.
DMYC has introduced a second day of dinghy racing this year, expanding what has traditionally been a one-day regatta. The club is proposing a six-race programme for dinghy classes across the weekend. Organisers say all classes are welcome and early entry is strongly encouraged, particularly from dinghy fleets, to help finalise class and start arrangements.

The four waterfront clubs have also collaborated on shared race documentation to improve consistency for competitors. International Race Officer Con Murphy led a review of the Notice of Race to align it with current World Sailing templates. Club representatives completed several revisions before the document was finalised and published online this week.
The Sailing Instructions are also undergoing review and are expected to be published shortly. DMYC said direct contact has been made with dinghy class captains to encourage participation in the expanded format.
The club added that some classes have responded positively, while others have yet to confirm interest.
Dinghy sailors travelling to Dun Laoghaire for the DMYC event can also look ahead to the National Yacht Club Regatta the following weekend on Saturday 13 June. The Women at the Helm Regatta will run across both Saturday and Sunday during the NYC event.
DMYC said it is looking forward to “an exciting weekend of sailing” and encouraged sailors to support the regatta.
Entries and race documents are available through the DMYC website.
