Female duo Judy Moynihan and Therese Loesberg sailing their Laser II won Monkstown Bay Sailing Club’s July League in Cork Harbour. With three wins of the eight races in the series, they took the top prize in Class 1 for a total of 10 points after two discards were applied.

Simon Butler, sailing a Laser 7 was second on 30 points and Judy’s brother, John Moynihan, one of the club’s long-time Laser sailors, also in an ILCA 7 was third on 32 points.

Sixteen boats raced in the League.

David and Jessica O’Brien, sailing their Mirror, won Class 2 by a point, finishing on 10, just one ahead of Harry and Chloe Coole in an RS Feva XL on 11. Milly Horgan and Lilly Moynihan were third with 14 points.

Class 2 had seven entries.
