Scotland’s Boat Show has been cancelled for 2022, with organisers citing mounting costs and a shortage of boats for sale, as Marine Industry News reports.

The event had been set to take place this October at Kip Marina, Inverclyde — the first since 2019 after coronavirus restrictions ruled out the 2020 edition and the 2021 event was cancelled due to continued uncertainty around the hosting of large events amid the pandemic.

In a statement, the organisers said the 2022 show has been “subject to rapidly increasing infrastructure costs, some of which have more than doubled, together with a critical shortage of boats available for sale, both new and pre-owned”.
