UCD Sailing Club Honoured With Two Awards

University College Dublin Sailing Club's (UCDSC) win of the 2024 Varsities Trophy at 2024 Sailing Varsities at the Fastnet Marine & Outdoor Education Centre in West Cork has been recognised with two prestigious awards.

UCD Sport awarded UCDSC with the Club Event of the Year at the Annual UCD Athletic Union Council Sports Awards 2024. And Student Sport Ireland honoured the sailing club with the Event of the Year at the National Student Sports Ireland Awards.

The Varsities Trophy event featured three days of intense sailing competition with participation from nine universities across Ireland, including University College Dublin, University College Cork, Trinity College Dublin, Dublin City University, Technological University Dublin, University of Limerick, Munster Technological University, Queens University Belfast, and University of Galway.

The event was the culmination of over five months of planning by the dedicated UCDSC Committee and Fastnet Marine & Outdoor Education Centre in West Cork  A total of 165 sailors competed fiercely across all three fleets.
