Barry Watkins Advances to Semi-Final at Canoe Sprint World Cup

#Canoeing: Barry Watkins advanced to the semi-final of the K1 500 at the canoe sprint World Cup in Poznan in Poland today. He is set for the B Final of the K1 1,000, as he took sixth in the semi-final.

 Jenny Egan missed out in her bid to make the K1 200 semi-final. She was seventh in her heat, and was just outside the mark for progressing as a fastest loser.

 The Ireland paracanoeist Patrick O’Leary took eighth in his VL3 final.

K1 1000 – Semi-Final Three (4-6 to Final B): 6 Barry Watkins

K1 500 – (First Five to Semi-Final): Heat Four: 3 Watkins. Heat Five: 6 Ronan Foley.

Women

K1 500 – Heat Three (First Five and Next Two Fastest in Heats to Semi-Final): 7 Jenny Egan

Paracanoeing

Men

VL3 – A Final: 8 Patrick O’Leary.
