The Inver Colpa Rowing Club has had a busy coastal rowing summer season filled with training, fundraising, and competitions. After the successful 9th Annual Boyne Boat Race in May, the club participated in the Drogheda Raft Race on June 1st, which raised funds for both the club and the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue & Recovery Service.
The Raft Race highlighted the River Boyne, showcasing community spirit. Following the event, the club organised three fundraising events to reach their €60,000 target for a new boathouse. The club has operated from containers for nearly a decade and hopes to begin construction shortly.

Chairperson James McKevitt commented on a recent billboard campaign, saying, “The promotional support helps raise awareness of the rowing club.” The campaign, sponsored by Mosney Village, targets key locations in Louth and Meath to promote the new boathouse.
On July 12th, the club held a Rowathon at Scotch Hall Shopping Centre, where ten teams of rowers aimed to cover 120 km. The event witnessed strong participation, with SKF winning the 3 Male / 1 Female category and Just Pull It taking the 2 Male / 2 Female category. The fundraising total from these events will be announced soon.
Amid the fundraising activities, the club has also focused on training, participating in three regattas along the Antrim coast. Their first regatta was on June 15th in Cushendun, where the ladies team secured first place. The club also achieved bronze and silver medals at subsequent regattas.
As they prepare for the All-Irelands from August 15th-17th in Glenarm, the club remains optimistic about bringing home more medals. They thank their main sponsors, including Southgate Shopping Centre, for their ongoing support.
