Top Ireland Junior Team Heads For Coupe de la Jeunesse

The Ireland team will compete at the 2015 Coupe de la Jeunesse this Saturday and Sunday in Szeged in Hungary. Most of the team met for lunch at the National Rowing Centre in Cork on Monday and received a great send off from senior High Performance athletes. The junior women’s pair and junior men’s pair were training in Portora in Enniskillen and met the team at the airport before flying to Budapest.

Men

Junior pair : Aaron Johnson (Portora BC), Barney Rix (Portora BC)

Junior quadruple sculls : Colm Hennessy (Shandon BC), Eoghan Whittle (Castleconnell BC), Patrick Munnelly (Athlone BC), Andrew Goff (Waterford BC)

Junior double sculls : Shane O’ Connell (Cork BC), Ronan Byrne (Shandon BC)

Women

Junior pair : Emma Glover (Portora BC), Elizabeth Clarke (Portora BC)

Junior double sculls : Aoife Casey (Skibbereen RC), Emily Hegarty (Skibbereen RC)

Junior single sculls : Dervla Forde (Cork Boat Club)
