#Rowing: Neptune won in the first round of the Fawley Cup for junior quadruples on the first day of Henley Royal Regatta. This was a very steady performances by the Dublin club against Tideway Scullers’ C. The umpire had to keep the crews apart early on, but once the race developed it belonged to Neptune. They moved into a lead of three-quarters of a length and then moved out to one length by the mile mark. They held it for most of the rest of the race. Tideway Scullers’ closed a little coming to the line but Neptune did not falter.
