#PowerFromTheSea - Strangford Lough's SeaGen tidal power turbine has a new owner, as BelfastLive reports.
And Singapore-based Atlantis Resources is set to focus on the Northern Irish sea inlet in its plans for expansion of tidal energy development across the British Isles.
Atlantis last month completed its purchase of the Siemens subsidiary that installed the SeaGen ocean energy device as Britain's first tidal power plant in 2008.
The Strangford Lough turbine currently generates 2MW from its 20-metre blades in a body of water known for having some of the strongest tides in Europe.
Indeed, even an unfortunate altercation with a yacht two years ago wasn't enough to keep it from spinning.
