The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has announced a series of new arrangements to allow residents wishing to pay their respects to Her Majesty, the Queen, Our Lord of Mann.

As ManxRadio reports, the Queen’s state funeral is set to take place in London at Westminster Abbey, on Monday, 19 September.

Prior to the funeral, the Queen will lie in state in Westminster Hall from 14 September for five days.

During this period the hall will be open for 24-hours-a-day for members of the public to file past and pay their respects.

The Steam Packet is looking to arrange (Douglas-Heysham) ferry and coach day excursions of which will enable Manx residents to attend either event.
