In the best of three final Escapade took the first race before Wyle came back strongly to take the second. In the final race of the day Wyle E Coyote stormed off the start line and, with a sharp luff on the final run to hold off a hard charging Escapade on the run into the finish, inched home for a very popular win.
With the support of Ailbe Millerick, Gordon Davies and Scorie Walls as umpires, Ian Sargent and team were able to get though a damage free program of 24 races with minutes of the 4 hr tide window at Clontarf to spare. Thanks must also go to Sutton Dinghy Club, the Royal St George and Royal Alfred for their support for this event.
With the event qualifying for ISAF recognition it just remains to be seen where the teams enter the World Match Racing Rankings!
