New site for North Sails Ireland

3rd April 2009

North Sails have launched their dedicated Irish website, www.northsails.ie, Irish reps Maurice O'Connell and Nigel Young have announced.

The new site contains regular news from North in Ireland, starting with a J109 training weekend run in tandem with Dun Laoghaire J dealer Boyd Boats.

In April, North are also running training weekends for the Beneteau 31.7 classes in Dublin and have a European Optimist class expert coming over to coach the RSGYC squad.

As these events get closer full details will appear on the site, Afloat has been told.

As well as all the usual commercial bells and whistles, the site has a great resource section on sail trim and theory to help sailors get the most from their wardrobe.

We've got a favour to ask

More people are reading Afloat.ie than ever thanks to the power of the internet but we're in stormy seas because advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news sites, we haven't put up a paywall because we want to keep our marine journalism open.

Afloat.ie is Ireland's only full-time marine journalism team and it takes time, money and hard work to produce our content.

So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

If everyone chipped in, we can enhance our coverage and our future would be more secure. You can help us through a small donation. Thank you.
