A new east coast trophy, the Metmasts.ie Turbines Yacht Race Perpetual Trophy, plus a cash prize of 1,000 Euro has been unveiled and pictured below the fold. The Arklow race for cruisers was announced at the Boat Show in February. The Notice of race and application form are now available here. Prizes for the event are as follows:

- Metmasts.ie Turbines Yacht Race 2009 - Winners Trophy
- €1,000 cash prize
2nd place:
- Metmasts.ie Turbines Yacht Race 2009 - 2nd Place Trophy
3rd place:
- Metmasts.ie Turbines Yacht Race 2009 - 3rd Place Trophy
Special Award:
- Metmasts.ie Turbines Yacht Race 2009 - Astin's Trophies Special Award. The "Special Award" is to be presented to a deserving recipient.
