O'Higgins wins Dublin bay light air race

22nd May 2009

It looked for a while like DBSC's 125th season was officially off to a dodgy start. After a month of racing, only half of the 12 scheduled races had been sailed. Thankfully though last night normal service resumed and there was a fine turn out for what turned out to be a light air race in the middle of the bay. Paul O'Higgins won cruisers one on both ECHO and IRC handicaps from Dermod Baker in Jalapeno. Third was Patrick Kirwan's Errislannan from the Royal St. George. Full results below.

There have been a few issues with boats not getting results in the early part of the season. The organsiers say this has been caused by a number of factors such as delays in Echo handicaps coming through, late entries and changes in how the results are being processed. The race office suggest that if you do not get a result to send in a race query via the club website. Full results over the fold:
