Cowes Week has announced North Sails as its new title sponsor ahead of the regatta’s 200th anniversary in 2026. North Sails Cowes Week 2026 will take place from 1–7 August, with more than 500 boats already entered for the bicentenary edition.
The new three-year partnership links one of sailing’s best-known regattas with the global sailmaking brand. Organisers said the agreement will support new technology initiatives on the water, including improved race data and daily performance insights for competitors.
Robert Trimble, Chairman of Cowes Week Limited and Cowes Combined Clubs, said the partnership marked “an important moment” for the event. “Launching the three-year partnership in our Bicentenary year provides the opportunity not only to celebrate this milestone, but to shape the next chapter of the Regatta,” he said.
North Sails CEO Sam Watson described the partnership as “a real honour”. “North Sails Cowes Week offers us the perfect platform to support an event at the heart of British sailing,” he said.
Alongside racing, organisers confirmed the return of the Friday night fireworks display as part of the expanded shoreside programme.

A North Sails competitors’ party is also planned for Wednesday, 5 August, as part of efforts to strengthen the regatta’s social programme. GB1 CEO Ian Walker welcomed the announcement and described North Sails as “a natural partner” for Cowes Week.
Cowes Week remains one of the largest and longest-running sailing regattas in the world, attracting professional crews, club sailors and spectators from across the UK and beyond.
