Buyers have a chance to own “a bit of Ireland’s history” as a pair of islands on Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland have hit the market for £108,000 (€126,655).
As the Belfast Telegraph reports, the Dunnyneil Islands off Killyleagh comprise two small islands connected by a tidal causeway.
In medieval times, they were known to be an important trading post, dealing in goods from as far afield as Russia.
Owen Gunning of estate agents Tim Martin says the islands could make for an ideal recreational getaway, or even a base for scientific research.
