‘Blue Bioeconomy Perspectives’ Focus of Second Marine Ireland Industry Network Event of 2024 in Westport Next Week

MIIN in Mayo - Blue Bioeconomy Perspectives — the second in-person Marine Ireland Industry Network event of the year, following Killybegs in June — will take place next Thursday 3 and Friday 4 October in Westport, Co Mayo.

This is an event of two parts. The first part will be a networking event which will take place in Westport on Thursday evening in the Knockranny House Hotel.

The second part of the event will take place in the Knockranny House Hotel on Friday morning where you will hear from blue bioeconomy industry buyers, marine industry experts and other exemplar Irish success stories before being taken on a guided tour of the Marine Institute’s Newport facilities.

Attendees will get the opportunity to see a freshwater recirculation aquaculture system, salmonid fish rearing facilities, fish traps, laboratories and more. (Spaces for the industry tour are limited.)

The event will then wrap up with a networking lunch back in Westport.
