Paint the Lake Pink!
Get ready to Make a Splash for Breast Cancer Ireland. Dust off your brightest magenta, neon, and pastel pink gear! The Women on the Water (WOW) group at Lough Derg Yacht Club (LDYC) is launching the ultimate vibrant lake day with the Very Pink Sail on Sunday 30 August.
This highly anticipated event aims to turn Lough Derg into a sea of pink to raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Ireland. The fun kicks off at 10:30 AM at LDYC in Dromineer, welcoming everything from sleek cruisers and classic sailing boats to paddleboards and rowing boats.
What to Expect on the Day?
The Great Pink Cruise:
A massive, colourful armada will cruise across the lake from Dromineer to Dromaan.
Dromaan Festivities:
Once ashore, participants will enjoy a lakeside picnic, an exciting raffle, and plenty of fun and games. Harbour Relay Races: A fleet of energetic rowers will battle it out in fast-paced, fun relay races right in the harbour.
A Touch of Glamour:
The fabulous Qu-EE-too will be making a special appearance in Dromaan to elevate the day's style.
Dress Code:
Think Pink! Creativity is highly rewarded. Both crews and their floating crafts are encouraged to go all out with their pink decorations. Spot prizes are up for grabs throughout the day, including: Best Dressed Crew Outfit, Best Decorated Boat, Plenty of other surprise fun categories!

All funds raised go directly to Breast Cancer Ireland's critical research, education, and awareness programmes. Donate Locally: Scan the event QR codes displayed on posters around the local area and throughout the yacht club.
