Instructors from across Northern Ireland came together recently at Carrickfergus Sailing Club for a day of learning, sharing and development

Instructors from across Northern Ireland came together recently for a day of learning, sharing and development, hosted by RYA Northern Ireland at Carrickfergus Sailing Club ahead of the 2026 boating season.

The gathered instructors, coaches and volunteers were encouraged by RYANI to share their experiences and learn from each other to build their confident and competencies.

Sessions throughout the day focused on practical delivery, communication and supporting sailors at every stage. It gave instructors the opportunity to step back, reflect on their approach and pick up ideas they can take straight back to their own clubs.
