Bangor RNLI, on Belfast Lough in Northern Ireland, has congratulated five of its volunteers who successful passed assessments at the station this week following a period of dedicated training in their station roles.
Tom Bell passed out as a launch authority, while Charlie Burns passed out as a head launcher, Lee Mercer as a Tier 2 crew member, and Rob Pogson and Tarek Qutteineh as shore crew.
RNLI coastal trainer Mark Mitchell said: “I am very impressed with all the volunteers who passed exams this week and achieved very high pass marks.”

The RNLI says it prides itself on training its lifeboat volunteers to a high standard to ensure safety at sea and on shore, and to prepare all crew for every possible scenario they may find themselves in.
