As crew lists emerge for July's Admiral's Cup, the first Irish sailors are named across four different teams for the Solent competition.

As Afloat previously reported, under Chef d'Equipe Michael Boyd, a past Commodore RORC and successful offshore skipper, the Royal Irish Yacht Club team for the 2025 Admiral's Cup will be Ron O'Hanley's Privateer, a Cookson 50, and Tom Kneen's Sunrise IV, a JPK 1180. Named as one of the first Irish crew on this team is Dun Laoghaire Harbour's Kenny Rumball on Sunrise.

Cork and Dublin sailors, Harry Durcan of Royal Cork and Will Byrne of the National Yacht Club, are on board the American PAC52, Final Final, skippered by Jon Desmond, that will sail for RORC White in the resurrected competition, which is unofficially a world championship for offshore sailing.

West Cork's Rory Harrap and Royal Irish's Timothy Goodbody are on the German Botin 56 Black Pearl that will sail for the New York Yacht Club.

As Afloat reported earlier, ex-pat Gordon Maguire will be racing on Back to Black for his home club, the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia.
