The countdown to the 25th Admiral's Cup has begun, with the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) opening entries for the 2027 edition from 1 July. The prestigious international team competition returns to Cowes in July 2027, marking 70 years since the inaugural Admiral's Cup was contested in 1957.
Yacht clubs from around the world are invited to enter two-boat teams for a programme combining inshore racing, an offshore race and the Rolex Fastnet Race, which will once again provide the championship finale. Rolex will continue as Official Timepiece of the Admiral's Cup, extending its long-standing partnership with RORC and the Rolex Fastnet Race.
The published event schedule includes registration, skipper briefings, inshore and offshore racing, prizegivings and crew events. Entries close on 28 February 2027, although boats may register before confirming their second team member.

Former RORC Commodore James Neville, who helped revive the Admiral's Cup before competing in the 2025 edition and recently won the 2026 Sardinia Cup aboard Ino Veritas, said preparation would again be crucial.
"The Admiral's Cup is one of the great challenges in international offshore racing," Neville said. "The teams that were best prepared in 2025 were the ones that performed, so for us this is very much a two-year programme."
He added that the event's team format remains one of its defining strengths. "You are racing for your club, your crew and your partner boat. That increases the pressure, but it also raises the standard."
The 2027 regatta will be based at the RORC Clubhouse in Cowes from 13 July, with racing culminating in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin after the Rolex Fastnet Race starts on 24 July. The 2025 edition was won by Yacht Club de Monaco, and organisers say the 2027 championship will continue to encourage youth participation and greater diversity within competing teams.
