Kinsale Yacht Club and race sponsor Cantor Fitzgerald have unveiled a new set of bespoke trophies for this Friday's Inishtearaght Skelligs Race.
The trophies were presented at a club function on Tuesday night and have been specially commissioned for the offshore fixture.
West Cork Craft — The new bespoke Inishtearaght Skelligs Race trophies, designed and sculpted by Paddy McCormack, will be presented to overall and Echo winners in Kinsale.
“This year we wanted to mark the occasion with something genuinely special, so we commissioned renowned West Cork sculptor Paddy McCormack to create a set of bespoke trophies,” said KYC Commodore Anthony O’Neill
“The results are spectacular. A piece of West Cork artistry waiting for the winners,” he added
The sculpted awards reflect the race’s growing profile on the Irish offshore calendar and its West Cork setting.
The Inishtearaght Skelligs Race is organised by Kinsale Yacht Club in association with SCORA and is sponsored by Cantor Fitzgerald.
