Defending Northern Trust J Cup Champion Pat O'Neill, sailing Mojo from Howth, leads in the six-boat J80 national championship fleet on four points after two races sailed on Saturday at the J Cup Regatta at the Royal Irish Yacht Club on Dublin Bay.
Owen Laverty's Red Cloud from the Royal St George lies second on five points, while Austin Kenny's Ram Jam from the host club is third on six.
Conditions were light for the racecourse in the middle of the bay, with winds up to ten knots from the northeast, but the race programme was completed successfully.
J24 Leinster championships
In the J24 Leinster championships, Mikey Carroll's Kinsailor tops the eight boat fleet on three points from Mark Usher's Hedgehog on five. Recently crowned IRC Three ICRA champion, Jupiter (Conor Haughton, Jonny Flood, Charles Heather, Garrett Kinnane) in third on 5.5.
Racing continues on Sunday.
