Details of those events were announced last night (Tuesday, May 4) by the organisers, Meitheal Mara, whose General Manager who said it was important that Cork City and County Councils recognised the huge resource they have in the River Lee flowing through both their areas, “and make sure that the access is there.”
“It can be difficult,” Isobel McKenna told me, “for individuals to know how to get onto the water, but the Festival would highlight that and make the public aware of what a huge resource that the water can be to them.”
