In a groundbreaking move, the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) has announced a partnership with Nine's multi-platform media network.
This marks the first time in the 79-year history of the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race that the event will have a dedicated media home.
The multi-year agreement includes a live telecast of the iconic St. Stehpen's Day race start on Nine’s free-to-air television channel and a robust digital presence on 9Now, showcasing archival materials, pre-race interviews, live updates, in-race content, and race highlights. The partnership was unveiled at the 'Nine Upfront 2025' industry launch at Carriageworks in Sydney.
Nine's Chief Sales Officer and Managing Director - Local Markets, Michael Stephenson, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, calling the Rolex Sydney Hobart Australia's summer sporting icon.
