George Sisk's J111 WOW led a tightly packed bunch of cruisers in to Scotsman's Bay to escape the flood tide after the start of this afternoon's Dublin Port sponsored Dublin Bay Sailing Club (DBSC) race. It was a tactic that worked for the Royal Irish skipper in Cruisers Zero division and for Colin Byrne's Extravagance in Cruisers One too. The strong tides dictated tactics in the medium southerly winds off Sandycove point but it wasn't long before boats were benefiting from the tide as they bore off and hoisted spinnakers.
