A range of issues will be covered in next month's ICRA conference Secretary Denis Kiely has revealed. A full review of the ICRA National championships held in Fenit is expected as well as a preview of the 2010 event at the Royal St. George event in Dun Laoghaire. There will also be a review of the timing of major cruiser events. Was the Nationals Volvo Stopover clash inevitable?
John Murphy of Kinetic, the Division 2 national champion, will talk on how to prepare a boat for a major regatta. There will also be debate on whether the Whitesails fleet should have a National Championships or is such an event contrary to the concept of WhiteSail? Both Des McWilliam of one sails and Prof O'Connell from North are attending the event. Among other items to be discussed will be the selection of the ICRA Boat of the Year and details of the 2010 Rolex Commodore's Cup campaigns. A forum thread on who should win Boat of the Year is here.
