The Notice of Race has been published for the 2026 Offshore Double Handed World Championship in Marseille. The regatta will run from September 23 to October 2, with up to 22 international teams competing.

The offshore racing will take place in equalised Sun Fast 30 One Design yachts, ensuring a level playing field. The event is hosted by CNTL Marseille, the Royal Ocean Racing Club, Cap Regatta and the Yacht Club de France.

World Sailing Vice President Corinne Migraine said the championship continues to grow in importance. “It brings together mixed teams from around the world in one-design boats,” she said. “The event showcases teamwork, endurance and strategy.”

Race Director Christophe Gaumont said the Marseille edition will build on previous championships. “The level of the teams and the blend of cultures make this a truly special event,” he said.

The competition format includes qualification races, a repechage round and a final deciding the world champions. The championship is also a key platform for promoting diversity, with a strong focus on mixed-gender crews. National authorities have been invited to nominate teams, with up to two entries per country.
