"Potentially Dangerous Conditions in Bardsy Sound" - ISORA Postpones Sunday's James Eadie Race Due to Weather Forecast

23rd August 2024

ISORA has postponed Sunday's (August 25th) final cross-channel race of the season due to adverse weather forecasts.

As Afloat reported earlier, 2024's overall ISORA title may yet depend on the result of the 80-mile race, which attracted up to 20 boats to start from Pwllheli in North Wales.

In a notice to competitors issued at 10.30 p.m. on Friday night, ISORA said, "Race Management has decided to postpone the James Eadie Race scheduled for Sunday, 25th August."

"The decision is not taken lightly and is due to the adverse weather conditions expected and the potentially dangerous conditions in Bardsy Sound", the notice said.

"The date for the re-run of the race will be announced in due course", ISORA said.
