Ireland's Robert Dickson (HYC) and Sean Waddilove (SSC) date with destiny will have to wait a little longer as Thursday's scheduled Men's Skiff medal race was abandoned twice in Marseilles at the halfway point.
The race was abandoned due to too little wind on the race course.
Before the abandonment of the first attempt, a course change due to a light air wind shift occurred. In the second attempt, boats were gathered at the leeward mark when the wind died in a choppy sea.
More than five knots are needed to run the race; the hope was that a sea breeze would fill in.
The last warning signal for the medal race was 17:37 CET and the race is now scheduled for the regatta's reserve day on Friday.
The Dublin duo are lying second going into the double points, no discard final.
