The 2025 Cape 31 European Championship is poised to take place at Real Club Náutico de Palma from 16–19 October. The event will see 25 to 30 boats competing, marking the largest gathering in the class's history.
Reigning champion La Pericolosa will return to defend its title. The crew, who won in Sanremo last year, faces a stronger fleet following a competitive Mediterranean season.
Alessandro Rombelli’s Stig has dominated the circuit in 2025, aiming to continue that success in Palma. "We’re laser-focused on the European title," said Rombelli.
Nikolai Burkart, who stunned the fleet with his victory on MeerBlick in Porquerolles, will compete as a boat owner for the first time. He aims to prove that his win was no fluke.

The UK will send a strong contingent of competitors, ensuring a truly international event. Teams from Italy, Germany, Switzerland, the USA, France, and other countries are expected to participate.
Early entries include world-class boats such as Flying Jenny, Black Star, and Warrior Won. The fleet could swell to 30 vessels, promising a grand spectacle.
RCNP is renowned for excellent race management and challenging courses, providing a fitting venue for this championship. Palma Bay will serve as the backdrop for crowning the new champion.
