The 2025 Cape 31 season concluded after six thrilling rounds of racing. Sandy Askew’s Flying Jenny emerged as the overall champion, winning four out of five events.

Facing intense pressure, Flying Jenny missed one round but maintained consistent results. Their strong finish in the final event secured the title.

Akheilos finished second, pushing the title fight to the last race. Bullit rounded out the podium in third place, thanks to their steady performance.

Standout moments included impressive showings from Katabatic, Khumbu, and Jubilee, each enjoying podium success. Newcomers Swift Half ended their debut season on a high, securing fourth overall and winning races in the later rounds.

The Corinthian One Professional Division was equally competitive. David Cummins' Flurg clinched the title and consistently challenged the professional teams. Narwhal, skippered by Lucian Stone and Jonny Hewat, finished a close second, while the Locke family’s Toucan took third.

Highlight moments included Jiraffe’s event win, showcasing the unpredictable nature of the racing series. Every team found success on the podium at various points, reinforcing the class's competitive reputation.

At the prize giving, champion Sandy Askew reflected, "We have been trying to get our hands on this trophy for a few years now, and we finally did it. My team are amazing."

As the season closes, Flying Jenny’s triumph stands out, along with the fierce rivalry across the fleet. Looking ahead, the 2026 series is already generating excitement.

Several teams will now head to the European Championships in Palma this October. Jiraffe has already made its way there for Med Round 5 this weekend.
