The Fireball Munster Championships at Monkstown Bay Sailing Club in Cork Harbour have been postponed due to ongoing fuel blockades.
Organisers confirmed the decision following disruption to travel and logistics ahead of the event.
“We have taken the unfortunate decision to postpone the Fireball Munsters this weekend due to the unprecedented fuel blockades,” said the organiser.
Saturday's racing had already been halted due to gales.
A new date for the championships will be announced in the coming weeks.
In place of the scheduled event, a Fireball Sprint will go ahead on Sunday for local boats and those still able to travel.
The first gun for the Sprint event is set for 12 pm.
