Shannon Navigation: Rooskey Dry Dock Closed for Upgrades

Waterways Ireland advises masters of vessels and waterway users on the Shannon Navigation that the Rooskey Dry Dock facility is closed for use by the public from Monday 21 August until 1 August 2024 to facilitate upgrade works.

Shannon Navigation: Power Supply Interruption at Rooskey Bridge and Lock on Good Friday

Waterways Ireland advises all masters of vessels and water users on the Shannnon Navigation that Rooskey Lifting Bridge and Rooskey Lock will be without power supply tomorrow, Friday 15 April from 9am until 4pm due to a notified ESB power supply interruption in the village.

About IDRA 14s

The Irish Dinghy Racing Association One Design or IDRA14 class is known for its convivial class association and affordable racing and great team spirit.

The IDRA14 class is 75 years old in 2021 with some original boats still racing but also entirely up to date with fibreglass boats, trapezes and spinnakers.

The races in summer and winter from three Dublin sailing clubs.

There are currently IDRA 14’s racing in Clontarf (CYBC), Sutton (SDC) and Dun Laoghaire (DMYC and RStGYC).

Boats are available in fibreglass and timber from approximately €1,500 ready to sail.

The IDRA 14s are working on plans to celebrate their 75th Anniversary in 2021.
