The ILCA Summer Sprint Series will commence on June 21st at Glandore Harbour, West Cork. This year marks the return of the popular event, allowing ILCA sailors to race in some of Cork's most breathtaking harbours.
The series follows a tri-series format, with sailors required to participate in three events to be eligible for overall series prizes. Each regatta, however, offers its own unique prizes.
"There's a very social atmosphere at the regattas," a spokesperson noted. Five quick races provide sailors with ample opportunities for competitive racing.
The ILCA Ireland Westerns will take place the following weekend in Killaloe, making Glandore an ideal venue for sailors to tune up ahead of this event.
In addition to Glandore, a new regatta will be held at Cove SC in July, bringing the total to six regattas in the series.
Sailors can enter the series for €70 or register for a single regatta for €30. Entry links are available online, or participants may register on the day in Glandore.
Sailing instructions will be released shortly and will be shared via the series' WhatsApp group and the official website.
