With Ireland preparing to host the 2027 RS Aero Euros, the 2026 season sets sail with global events from Australia to Germany and the USA.

With just over a year and a half to go until Howth Yacht Club welcomes the RS Aero European Championship in August 2027, the newly released 2026 calendar sets the stage for a season of high-quality international competition.

From Australia to the United States, the RS Aero class will see action across five key events, offering opportunities for sailors of all levels and backgrounds. Thanks to its four rig options — RS Aero 5, 6, 7 and 9 — the class continues to draw a diverse and growing global fleet seen locally here during this winter's racing at Howth and Dun Laoghaire.

Australian Nationals Kick Off in January
The Salty Dingo RS Aero Australian Championships will open the season from 18–22 January 2026 at Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron, Melbourne. The venue is already preparing to host the RS Aero World Championship in 2027, making this a preview of world-class competition.

Hayling Island to Host UK Women’s Title
On 30–31 May, Hayling Island Sailing Club in Hampshire will host the UK Women’s Championship. The event aims to be inclusive and community-driven, welcoming new and experienced sailors alike.

Double Bill at RS Games in Germany
Travemünde, Germany, will stage both the RS Aero European Championship and Youth World Championship from 19–24 July as part of the RS Games and Travemünder Woche festival. It’s a standout entry on the international sailing calendar.

UK Nationals Return to Eastbourne
The RS Aero UK National Championship and International Open is set for 28–31 August at Eastbourne Sovereign Sailing Club. The RS Aero 5, 6 and 7 fleets will compete there, while the Aero 9s will have a separate UK Nationals at Paignton in May.

RS Fest San Francisco Debut
Capping off the season, RS Fest will make its West Coast debut from 5–7 September at Richmond Yacht Club in California. Known for its challenging conditions and stunning views, San Francisco Bay offers a fitting finale.

The full calendar, including regional events and demo days, is available through the RS Aero International Class Association.
