An inaugural RS sailing dinghy Sprint Trophy series at The Royal St George Yacht Club will be held on Saturday, 22nd October 2011.
The plan is run up to 10 races over short team racing style courses. Each race is expected to last 10 to 15 minutes. The type courses guarantee exciting racing and this format has proved hugely popular in the UK.The day is also being used to introduce new people to both the RS200 and RS400. Those interested in the classes can be taken out on the water to view the racing up close from a rib. The class hope to have an RS200 & RS400 available to run trial sails for the day. Alternatively trial sail demo's will be run post racing using the competing boats.
Pete Vincent, The UK RS Class Chairman will be on hand for the day to help out and answer any queries people may have on the RS boats. Pete will also give a presentation on the classes for those interested after racing is complete. Everyone is welcome to come along.
