The Ruffian 23s are heading to Westport, County Mayo, this week, for WIORA 2025 and the Ruffian National Championships.
As Afloat previously reported, Mayo Sailing Club, celebrating its golden anniversary, has pulled out all the stops to help transport visiting Ruffian 23s for WIORA (June 18-21) and the Championships from June 20-22.
Mayo Sailing Club Commodore, Patrick Aylward, drove up to Carrigfergus last Friday to transport Stephen Penny’s Hot Orange to Westport.

Also on Friday, Eoghan Cunningham’s company, Cunningham Marine and Civil Engineering, lifted Dun Laoghaire harbour-based Ripples and Loco at the Coal Harbour and departed for Westport on two low loaders.
On Monday, Cunningham Marine and Civil Engineering lifted Bandit and Siamsa at the Coal Harbour and are en route to Westport on two load loaders.
