New Robotic Marks Used for the First Time in AIB Dublin Bay Sailing Club Water Wag Race

26 Water Wags turned out for the AIB Dublin Bay Sailing Club (DBSC) race on Wednesday, September 4th.

Race Officer Tadgh Donnelly set a three-round Windward/Leeward course in a 5 to 7-knot WNW’ly breeze.

In a case of old technology meeting new, robotic marks (i.e. 4 Gipsy marks supplied by Kenny Rumball) were used for the first time in the 140-year-old history of the class. 

The results were as follows:

1st: Moosmie - John O’Driscoll / Shirley Gilmore
2nd: Puffin - Sean & Heather Craig
3rd: Pansy - Vincent Delaney & Emma Webb
