Howth Yacht Club has released final availability for its summer junior sailing programmes following strong demand. The update follows a fully subscribed Easter training series, with only a limited number of places remaining across several age groups.
The club said the courses aim to introduce young sailors to the sport in a structured and safe setting. All equipment is provided.
Programmes run in one-week and two-week formats throughout the summer, offering flexible options for families. The Cara Na Mara sessions target children aged six to eight. These half-day courses focus on water confidence and basic skills.
The Orca programme is designed for ages eight to ten. It introduces core sailing techniques while building confidence afloat. Two-week Start Sailing courses cater for children aged 10 to 12. No previous experience is required. For older participants, keelboat courses are available. These provide an entry point into more advanced sailing pathways.
The club said the courses offer an opportunity for young people to stay active outdoors during the summer months. Demand is expected to remain high during peak weeks, with early booking advised.
