Monkstown Bay Sailing Club had a good dinghy fleet on the water last night (Tuesday) for the July League, where the Class 1 winner, for the second successive race, was Ronan Kenneally in his Laser 7. Second was Sean O'Herlihy in a Laser Radial 6, and third was Judy Moynihan and Therese Losebeg in their Laser 2.

Kenneally is the overall League leader after three races, with two points, allowing for discard applied. Laser veteran David O'Connell and 505 crew Brian Jones and Gary Frost are next, tied on eight points.

Class 2 was again won by the O'Connors, Tim and Philip, who lead the Class overall. Second were Rob and Jamie Scallan in an RS Feva XL and third Jack Ryan, sailing an Optimist.

Ruby Duggan and Isabelle McCarthy, in an RS Feva XL, are second overall in the league in Class 2, and Harry Coole and George Creighton, also in a Feva, are third.

So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

If everyone chipped in, we can enhance our coverage and our future would be more secure. You can help us through a small donation. Thank you.
