O'Connell Wins Again in Monkstown

Once again, veteran sailor of Monkstown Bay, Davy O’Connell, proved his continued ability by winning the June Class 1 Fleet league at MBSC.

Six races were sailed, of which he won the first and had two second places and a third amongst his other best placings in the series. He finished with a total of 12 points after discarding his lowest finishing position, a fifth place.

Davy was sailing his Laser 7. Eighteen boats raced during the series. Judy Moynihan and Therese Loesberg, sailing their Laser 2, were just one point behind, finishing on 13. In third place was Dave O’Brien, on 23 points, racing another Laser 7.

Class Two was won by David and Jessica O’Brien in a Mirror. Harry and Chloe Coole were second in an RS Feva XL. Eli and Joan Jeffers were third in another Feva.
